Metrokane
- A BIT OF HISTORY
- LOOK OUT FOR
- THE LO-DOWN
Founded in 1983, Metrokane provide products that strive to not imitate competitor commodities. It all came about when Riki Kane – an advertising copywriter and syndicated journalist responsible for the game ‘Wordy Gurdy’ – was travelling in Mexico. After noticing her morning orange had been extracted using a manual juicer, she discovered that these had been extinct in the US market since the introduction of the electric variety. Determined to prove that the manual version was superior, she launched her own version and the company was born.
Shaken not stirred and worthy of James Bond himself, the sexy Bullet Cocktail Shaker will whip up a fine Vodka Martini. Unlike other versions, its lid tapers in at the top to represent its namesake and lending it an uber sexy appearance! And if you’re a cheese fanatic then you’ll want to check out Metrokane’s Compleat Cheese Service. This is so cool! Basically, it’s a storage case, which is perfect for picnics as it houses a bamboo board, stainless steel knife, planer and spreader. A real nifty little number!
A small but fantastic selection of great bar tools for the drinks enthusiast. This is a quality company that does its best to keep on top of the design market resulting in interesting and up to the minute products.
