The principal difference between Green Pans and other non-stick pans is a new coating called Thermolon. This is ceramic and doesn't contain any carbon polymers (conventional non-stick coatings give off chemicals which act like CFCs on the ozone layer). It also means that it is temperature resistant up to 450 C, doesn't release fumes when over heated, and has the hardness of a 9H pencil!
They are guaranteed for 2 years but will last much longer.
Green Pan are very environmentally aware. All their packaging (and even their brochure) is recycled, and their manufacturing processes are designed to minimise impact. Even their product ranges are all named after various recent environmental treaties!
